Political decisions have clouded the science on popular herbicide, glyphosate. However, it appears that the cloud has lifted. Population representation plays a part in the complicated voting system within the EU. At a vote on Monday 27 November, Germany’s vote in favour of a five-year renewal period for glyphosate means that the European Commission has now the green light for a a formal renewal of the licence for glyphosate in the EU.
